BERP No.5 Buzz Extension and Resistance Piece for Large Trombone/Baritone

BERP #5 Buzz Extension Resistance Piece - Large Trombone/Baritone

How It Works

• Attachment: The BERP clamp fastens securely onto your Trombone/Baritone receiver where your mouthpiece normally goes. You then place your actual mouthpiece into the BERP's own receiver cup.

• Adjustable Resistance: It features a sliding plastic dial over drilled holes. For low brass like the tuba and euphonium, position the dial above the holes and lower it to adjust the airflow resistance to match the feel of your instrument.

• Seamless Practice: You can instantly switch your mouthpiece back and forth between the BERP and the instrument to alternate between buzzing drills and actual playing.

Benefits for Trombone/Baritone Players

• Builds Embouchure and Range: Helps strengthen lip muscles and improve endurance without the heavy fatigue of holding and blowing through the entire large instrument.

• Improves Air Support: The adjustable resistance teaches you to keep a steady, supported airstream, especially in the extreme lower register.

• Trains the Ear: Allows you to coordinate fingerings and pitch creation mentally before hearing the full acoustic response.

• Quiet Warm-Ups: Serves as a great tool to loosen up your face through buzzing before a performance or practice session.
