The Oboe Reed #5 is first of the 5, 6, and 7 trio of reeds. They have overall a warm, rounded sound, and most of the variation is in their tip openings. The #5 has the smallest tip opening of the three, for players who prefer a lighter reed that doesn't need much pressure from the embouchure.
