Up for grabs is an awesome 80s era Swingstar (Made in Japan) 14x5 steel snare. This thing has amazing sound in the low mid tuning. I provided a link below of the actual snare. The snare does have pitting on the shell and rust in the snare strainer. Neither flaws keep it from performing nicely. For some reason Japanese steel hits different than the rest... special steel...Hattori Hanzo? Anyway, please listen to it with headphones. I promise, the feel of when you do some rim shots is darn good! Snappy and fat!!! The snare has an internal muffler system that works like perfect! As u can see, the muffler seat does have rust, but doesn't affect performance. Overall, this is an amazing main snare. Wish I could keep it, but I have a Royalstar with the exact specs and I love it! I'd rather this gem go to a good home and be played!
