This bajo was handcrafted by highly experienced master craftsmen in Mexico. They are built by the highest standards, as the craftsmen carefully choose the best quality materials for excellent resonance, rugged hardware, while utilizing techniques handed down by generations of highly skilled luthiers....making Tex-Mex Bajo Quintos y Sextos, some of the most high-end quality instruments in the world!
This bajo quinto features a full "Cedar" (Cedrela) body. The cedar wood is a genus that is on the lighter side, therefore provides warm tones that allow for excellent resonance. This bajo features white pickguards (mica) that create a high-end look on and off stage. This bajo features a very unique and gorgeous painted black metal flake finish. Although this finish is black, it still allows you to see the wood grains and the flakes sparkle beautifully under stage lights....almost making it the only star of the night!
